- 4 or 5 medium apples
- 1 lemon
- 3/4 cups brown sugar
- 1/4 cup oatmeal
- 1/4 cup walnuts, chopped
- 1 teaspoon cinnamon
- 1/8 teaspoon nutmeg
- 1/4 cup raisins, optional
- 6 Tablespoons butter, chopped
Preheat oven to 400 degrees. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
Cut off the tops and bottoms of the apple. Scoop out the core. Place the apples on the baking sheet. Squeeze lemon juice over the apples.
Mix brown sugar, oatmeal, walnuts, cinnamon, nutmeg, and raisins. Mix in the butter. Stuff and overfill the apples. Bake at 400 degrees for 20 minutes. Serve warm topped with caramel ice cream.
